Allie? Where did she come from? Is she a new blogger boo? Well yes and no. Allie is the newest pant to the Lane Bryant family. She is their Universal Fit- which means whether you are a 16, 24, hourglass, apple, tall, short and in between these pants will look great. Lane Bryant asked myself as well as my fellow bloggers, Fearlessly Just Me, Suits Heels & Curves, and La Pecosa Preciosa to give Allie a try.
Allie is made of a stretchy material that hugs your curves while still maintaining it's shape as you move about the day. I wouldn't consider this a straight leg pant, but more of a boot cut. I went with my normal size in Lane Bryant which is a 16 and there was no gapping waistband. My biggest issue with pants is that while it may fit around my hips, the waist at times is too big which causes gapping. On me, these sit high up on my waist and are extremely comfortable thanks to Lane Bryant's fit technology.
Since these are the quintessential work pant I wanted to wear sassy pieces to show the pants versatility. This lace top is one of my favorites from the new 6th & Lane Collection. I love tops that you can wear alone with a bra or layer with a turtleneck (my winter essential). Add a great moto jacket and some cute lace up shoes and you are ready for the world.
I had fun shooting with the ladies. It was cool to see how each of us would wear Allie. Plus size bodies are so diverse that when it comes to pants, it's not the easiest thing to find something that works. I must say that the construction of these pants really worked well for the four of us, and Allie has become a blogger boo. So now that you have met Allie, head to your local Lane Bryant or LB.com to give her a try for yourself!
