Another Sweater Weather approved post lovers! Long dusters are my favorite because you can wear them in lieu of a coat. When I saw the Kit Leopard Duster on Fashion To Figure's site, it was a must have.

Sweater dusters or coats, are the perfect Fall accessory. First they are warm, two cozy, and three they are cute. When I wear sweater dusters I always go for items that are cut closer to the body, so that I don't look wider than what I am. Skinny jeans are a must have for this purpose. Fashion to Figure's skinny jeans are super stretchy and soft which makes them very comfortable. For $40, these are a good buy if you are in need of some jeans. I love me some fur, so I immediately grabbed this fur stole from Zara. I can just wrap myself up in it while looking luxurious. I love having accessories that look more expensive than they are. The best looks from people are when you tell them where its from and they are like "No way!!" and start to google. Great footwear is always the perfect ending to the perfect outfit, and I went with my Coach heels, and my go to bag from Dooney & Bourke. I would definitely remix this duster for work by pairing it with a leather skirt and some booties. Let me know what you would wear in the comments.

Matchy Matchy

Hello lovers!! Today's post is about this great sweater duo from Eloquii. I decided to go full on matchy matchy and wear their Printed Column Sweater Skirt with the matching Printed Crop Sweater. I am not one to shy away from prints, so when I saw this on the site I definitely wanted to give it a try. This is my first sweater skirt, and I love the thick stretchy material. Even though I am wearing a crop top, the skirt length provides lots of coverage (looks more like a dress than separates). The black and white combo of this outfit is major. All you need is a great lip (Mac Rebellious Red is my choice today), and some neutral accessories and you ready to go. At first I was going to wear heels with the outfit, but I thought why not show wear some great knee high boots. Finding a good pair of leather wide calf boots used to be such a hunt, but now more companies are definitely getting with the times and providing more wide calf options. These boots are from Corso Como and they are well made and super comfortable. Definitely give them a try if you are in the market for a pair of leather boots. Are you ready for sweater weather?

Lane Bryant's Spring Preview

I had the pleasure of attending Lane Bryant's Spring 2016 Preview this week. First and foremost- get all your coins together because Lane Bryant is definitely coming for them. The skirts, wide leg pants, and jumpsuits were all must haves. The best thing about going to previews is that I can plan out all the things I want and just put some money aside to get them when they launch. As a shopaholic, planning out what I am going to buy has really stopped me from buying things just for the sake of shopping. But, back to the event. The event was held in this great space in Chelsea and the champagne and hibiscus margaritas were flowing. Since I was attending the soiree after work, I wanted to go with an outfit that I call professionally cute. My go to outfit consists of a tee shirt with a great skirt and a jacket. My tee and skirt are from Lane Bryant. I love ponte because you can wear it all day and it does not wrinkle. This skirt is an oldie but goodie, but LB has two updated versions (First one has a slit in the front, the other is a coated ponte) if you are without one. My Eloquii jacket is my go to. I wear this jacket all the time. I would also wear this outfit with a great moto jacket, I love Eloquii's, and Lane Bryant's cobalt blue one is super cute. Since the day was winding down, I switched from my booties to my lace up flats from Nine West. I get tons of compliments when I wear them and they are so comfortable. I love layering, and the easiest and luxe looking layering piece is a faux fur vest. This one is from Lane Bryant (I found this cutie at the Herald Square store). I did take some pics from the event just to give you a little taste of what's in store starting in February. Enjoy!!

Harper + Liv Spring Preview

Hello lovers!! I know we are just getting used to the fact that Summer is over and Fall is in full swing, but in the fashion world, Fall means it's time to focus on Spring. I was invited to check out Harper + Liv's Spring 16 collection. First thing that comes to mind for Spring is floral prints, but in addition to florals, there were great lace options, pants, culottes, and jumpsuits. What I liked most about the collection is that there are some faux suede options. Spring can still be chilly, so a good skirt or jacket in suede can keep you warm when the weather is chilly. My favorite piece is the cropped blouse. I love button ups and this is a great twist on a classic. It can be paired with their new crop top. If you didn't try their crop top from last summer, definitely give this one a try. Their crop tops are cute and still provide coverage so you never have to feel self conscious about wearing one. Another piece from the collection that I can not wait to get my hands on is the lace top and shorts set. Lace was something I definitely shied away from back in the day. Most lace items looked matronly in plus size, but that is no longer the case. Besides the set, there is a boho lace top with fringe, and another as a lace overlay top. There are some options from Harper + Liv if you want to step out and give lace a try. There are their infamous distressed crop jeans (which I love and still wear), but this year they also have a pair that is paint splattered. Even though I am all about my Fall wardrobe, I am looking forward to Spring and its pollen producing , sneeze inducing weather. Adam Lippes for Target Plus Size Collab

You can say I am mad about plaid. I wore tons of plaid in middle school, to the point that my mom called me a lumberjack. Also, it was the 90's, and hip hop and grunge were at the forefront, so there was going to be a lot of oversize clothing and plaid...ijs. I just so happened to wear both. When I found out that Target's next designer collaboration was going to be with Adam Lippes, I was intrigued. He is known for chunky knits, and a minimalist way of designing, so I was like wait- why is everything in plaid? Come to find out Target was doing an ode to plaid (out right now) and this collection was the product of the plaid challenge. All of the pieces were cute, but my favorite was the sweater duster that I have on. Ladies, this is cut generously, so you can size down. I originally purchased the 2X, but had to go to the store to exchange it for their XL. It is plaid, but I love that is not the traditional tartan, it's more of a buffalo plaid. The pockets are shearling, so on chilly nights your hands can be nice and cozy while walking around town. It is made well, its warm without all the extra bulk and it's $39.99- that is a must have in my book. It's still up on the site, definitely give it a try. I paired the vest with a pair of my favorite leggings from Modamix. I have had faux leather leggings in the past, and they were always thin and did not last, these on the other hand are thick. Definitely get their updated version of these and pair them with a chunky heeled bootie from DV Dolce Vita like I did.

I am super excited to be a part of my first blogger style challenge. While chatting with my fellow blogger boos, we all purchased the vest (pure twinning)! We thought it would be a great idea for us to rock the vest, and post it together. My outfit is great for a day or night out with your boo. The leather leggings adds a touch of sexy to the casual vibe of the vest. Sandra went for the casual weekend vibe pairing hers with a denim and knee high boots. Darlene is good at taking casual pieces and making them work appropriate. She rocked her vest with a maroon pencil skirt and cute pumps.
