Lane Bryant Fall Preview

Last week I attended the Fall Preview for Lane Bryant. I know, Spring has just decided to show up and we are already looking at Fall fashion. Let me just say this, the clothes are fantastic. There is something for everyone. There are polka dots, and cool bomber jackets, denim on denim, goodies from Christian Siriano, and Melissa Mc Carthy. Enough yapping, here are some looks.

My favorites are the olive bomber with sheer panels, denim vest, polka dot skirt (it has a tulle skirt underneath), and the skirts the ever so fabulous models are wearing. From the Melissa Mc Carthy collection the pencil skirts are everything, and the Christian Siriano collection dresses and jackets are perfection. Once again, all my money is spent and we are only one month into Spring (sigh). For the event I went with one of my favorites from their Spring Preview, the gold pleated maxi skirt. Since the skirt is quite flowy, I sized down and went with a 14/16. I paired it with my Ava & Viv tee (one of the softest tee's you can buy for less than $10), and the latest jacket to my collection my Levi trucker!! I have been wanting one for the longest and now she is mine!!!

I had a great time with all my blogger boo's chatting about the wonderful clothes while enjoying cocktails and mini bites. I'm definitely happy about all the Spring fashion that is coming out soon (Christian Siriano!!!!!!), but Fall is not looking half bad ladies. LB is definitely coming for our wallets yet again. What are your favorite looks? Sound off in the comments. Muah!!

Suede

Suede is one of my favorite fabrics. My first suede item (that I can recall) was a pink suede Sister Sister-esque hat. For all my people that were born in the 70's-80's you know what kind of hat I'm talking about. :) I loved that hat so much!! I wore it with everything.

Fast forward to now- the majority of my shoes- suede. Not the best to wear in bad leather, but you can not deny that a red suede pump is not the sexiest. Whether real or faux suede has a soft spot in my heart. Now suede is creeping into my wardrobe in the form of shirts, skirts, and now a jumpsuit. It was a no brainer when I saw this jumpsuit on Eloquii's website. This is the perfect item to wear right now. It's Spring, but there is still a slight chill in the air, so wearing this keeps you warm without over-heating yourself. I get hot easily, so trust me, if I felt trapped I would not be wearing it. The temp in NYC was in the 50's, so this with a jacket was perfect. The cropped wide leg on this jumpsuit was the right width for me. When buying wide leg pants, I am always mindful of the fit because I want it to skim the leg to create a long line.  I never want them too tight or too loose on my thighs. These hit right at my sweet spot in order to show off these cute patchwork pumps from Zara. These shoes accentuate the jumpsuit effortlessly. They can make an impact all by themselves or play well with another colorful item. Thinking about pairing these shoes with another print to practice my pattern mixing. They are the perfect height for strolling around town. I went with my cool statement necklace from Baublebar, bold pink lippie, and my Dooney & Bourke handbag.

Pastel

When I was little, I loved me some baby pink...I wore the coolest pink and white striped Osh Kosh B'Gosh overalls with matching pink sneakers. Pink was everything for me. Then I got older and I was all about dark colors. Pink was for babies, and I wanted no part of it. In college, I went through another pink phase, but it was not like how it was when I was younger. Now as an adult, I'm all about the versatility, coolness and neutrality of grey. When pastels came back on the scene and how easily they can be paired with practically any color, I was intrigued. How can I make it work for my body, and look cool, not cutesy? It's all about the silhouette.

This off the shoulder top was a no brainer for me. I had to have it in my wardrobe. The cold shoulder was just the gateway to going full blown bare, and I am all for it. It comes in three colors, black, pink, and chambray. You can't go wrong with black, but I wanted to do something different and try the baby pink. Wearing something sexy and cool like this top in pink was what I needed to incorporate more pastels in my life. These pastel blue jeggings from Fashion to Figure paired perfectly with the top. I have been a fan of these since they dropped last fall, and the light blue pair is great for this season. Ample stretch and they hit right above my waist- two of my requirements when buying jeans. For accessories I went with my suede wedges and paint splattered clutch from the Who What Wear Collection for Target. My rule for wearing pastels, mix it up with darker based colors in a similar family or another pastel for Easter egg goodness. I like to pair pink with red or fuschia. What do you think lovers? Are you ready to go bare this season, or are you going to be all about pastels? Let me know in the comments!! Muah!!
