While reading my September issues this week, I saw Kate Spade's Fall ads. I love Kate Spade's ladylike charm, and it was the inspiration for today's post. Kate Spade ads are always pretty and polished with just a hint of posh. Immediately when I thought of what to wear I went with this Pleated Dress from Forever 21. It's lightweight and the hunter green color is great color to wear as we start to transition into fall. Another reason why I like this dress is the tie belt. I am not the biggest belt person, but the tie belt can easily change the dynamic of the dress. You can wear like I did with the belt to help define your waist or go sans belt to wear it loose. You can wear this dress to work, to happy hour, to a late night date night with ease, and then remix it for the weekend. A must have for any lady is a great handbag, and I went with the Tyra Zip Tote from Fashion to Figure. It is roomy (there's plenty of pockets), and it comes with a strap if you want to use it as a shoulder bag. The jade color of the handbag provided a nice contrast against the hunter green. I have been playing around with colors within the same family as a way provide some depth. Usually my go to is a pop of neon with a pastel, but I love how this turned out. When it came down to what to wear on my feet, I grabbed my animal print flats. I love these flats from Louise Et Cie (these were first featured in my NSale post a month ago).
