Running Around

Weekends for me consist of running errands. Pick up this, get gas, go get my hair done, meet friends, Target. When I'm out and about, my go to's are things that are all about comfort. Just because something is comfortable, doesn't mean that you can't look pulled together. The best looks for me are the one's where I just throw on something and go.

A couple of week's back while at the Avenue talking fall trends with my fellow Instagram Wives, I came across their new ponte jean. I love a good ponte pant. Ponte is wrinkle resistant, stretchy, and super comfy. When I tried these on in the store, I fell in love. The fit is great, and the rise came up right at my waist. They are soft like a great pair of leggings, but you get the structure of a pant. I will be wearing these pants all season long. If you are looking for a pant you can wear to work and on the weekend, I say give these pants a try. These are available in petite, regular, and tall lengths and go up to a size 32.

I have been in the market for a new white button up, and this two pocket tunic was right up my alley. I first saw this shirt over the summer during FFF event with the Avenue. I love that it is long enough that you can wear with leggings, but it's still dressy enough to wear to work. The colorblocking gives it a fun vibe and having pockets is the icing on the cake. When running around, I can just put my phone in pocket and carry a smaller bag. I have been trying to be less of a bag lady. The bigger the bag, the more I put in it.

Charge it and go!

On a daily basis I carry in my purse: lipstick, wallet, portable charger, headphones, and a cord. Having all those items in addition to whatever else I need can make my bag heavy. Not having a charger is not even an option anymore, but all those things could never fit in a wristlet. Well now I don't have to worry about that. This wristlet charges your phone!!! I'm a bit of a techie, so I love anything that looks good while serving a purpose. You can have something cute, functional all in a small wristlet. Inside the wristlet there are slots for your cards, room for other essentials, and then there is a separate part with a portable and cords. Whether you are team Iphone or Android, the wristlet can charge any phone. Definite must have (could make a great gift for the Holiday's), and it's only $30.

To top everything off I went with some velvet flats from Marc Fisher. Menswear inspired pieces are still big this fall, and adding in velvet just gives it a great mix of boy meets girl. I loved how comfortable they are and they are just too cute. I seriously have another color sitting in my cart right now. o wear

So what do you wear when you are out and about lovers?

California Dreaming- The IG Wives Takeover Pt 3

Dresses for me are the most easiest things I can maintain. It's an instant outfit, and an extra bonus is when you can find one that is wrinkle resistant. When packing for my trip, I really thought about what I was going to take and limit things that require ironing. One of my go to's was this great lace shift dress from Avenue.

This dress is a great travel companion. It folds up small, wrinkle resistant, and it's a sheath. Sheath dresses like this one are great because it shows off the figure but it's not as curve hugging as a bodycon. A sheath skims over your curves. Both still accentuate, but a sheath like this one (I'm wearing a 14/16) can be worn to the office, or out for a day in the sun. When I'm on vacation, the heels are put to the back burner. I like wearing cute sandals that can take me from day to night. These sandals were great for my trip. They are super comfortable, due to the padded insole, and the sparkly elastic makes them stand out. I just needed this pendent necklace, and my look was complete.

White clothing has become a major staple in my life. Wearing all the things we are told as plus size women we should shy away from has been a freeing experience. The limitations we put on ourself due these rules has been one of the reasons why I started this blog. My goal is that when I try something out and by me doing so, hopefully I can inspire someone else to try an item they never thought about. The IG Wives decided to do a white dress look book. The backdrop here in Santa Monica was such an inspiration for us, that we thought it would be a great idea to share our fun white looks from the Avenue. Definitely check out the look book below and for details on Sandra's look or Darlene's make sure to head to their blogs! A very big Thank You to our photographer Fabulizza and Avenue for this great opportunity!
